Ex-servicemen urge Gen Raheel to become PESS president

Sher Gondal

Mandi Bahauddin—Ex-servicemen paid glowing tributes to General (Retd) Raheel Sharif for his great contribution in dealing with terrorists and ex-soldiers’ welfare.
They said the retired general had left a great tradition of retiring after completion of his tenure of three years as COAS. They hoped the same would be done by his successors in the future. Gen (Retd) Raheel restored prestige and status of soldiers in the eyes of public through his wise policies of supporting democratic government and maintaining balance in relations between armed forces and civil government, they said. Through a resolution passed unanimously, they requested to Gen (Retd) Raheel to become President of Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society.
