Ex-Afghan president due in Tehran on Monday

TEHRAN The former President of Afghanistan Hamed Karzai will visit Iran to participate in an international forum on the region.

 

Karzai will arrive in Tehran on Monday heading a delegation to take part in the three-day International Conference on Iran and the Neighboring Regions.

 

The forum which is comprised of three conferences: the 22nd International conference on Persian Gulf, the 18th International Conference on Central Asia and Caucasus, and the 3rd International Conference on Afghanistan, will be held on October 23-25 in Tehran.

 

The frum will be attended by researchers and politicians from Iran and all over the world.

 

Iran’s Foreign Miniser Mohammad Javad Zarif will address the opening ceremony on Monday.

 

The forum will be held by Iran’s Foreign Ministry in cooperation with Allameh Tabataba’i University. NNI
