Essay competition on control of water born diseases

Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) and Technology Times with the collaboration of Ministry of Climate Change organized an assay competition among university students on “Practical and Cost effective Solutions to Control Water Born Diseases”.
The main objective of this competition was to create awareness among our youth about the importance of safe drinking water and magnitude of water born diseases in the country, their impact and possible solutions.
Total 172 entries received. Eighty female and 69 male students from 56 universities of 26 cities of the country contributed. The university students from Khuzdar, Swabi and D.G. Khan also participated in the completion. Karakuram University, Gilgit contributed 18 essays. More than 20 teachers of different universities evaluated the essays. —INP
