Er Rashid presents memo to UN office, urging Kashmir plebiscite

Srinagar—Independent legislator and AIP Chief Er Rasheed was arrested after he led a march of his supporters to the UN office in Sonwar area of Srinagar on Saturday.
“Despite strict restrictions, AIP today carried a sit-in in front of UN Offices at Sonawar to protest against failure of United Nations to fulfil its duties towards people of J&K. Dozens of protestors led by Er Rasheed succeeded in making it to the main gate of UN and started chanting slogans ‘UN wake-up, wake up’, ‘Plebiscite long live long live’ and ‘integral part down down’,” said a party statement issued today.—GK
