Er Rasheed: Why are Kashmir’s ‘Kanhaiyas’ terrorists?

Srinagar—Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) president and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has asked Kashmiris to remember the lessons learnt from Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union (JNUSU) President Kanhaiya Kumar’s arrest, release and the scenario developing thereafter.
While interacting Sunday with people in Nawa Kadal area of Srinagar, Rashid said that though he was not averse to projection of Kanhaiya on the political scene of India, but one needs to remember that whole India stood by him and media and opinion makers created a platform where from he could be seen as youth icon. He said the day Kanhaiya was released like a hero, a 19 year old Ishaq Parray, who had secured 98% marks in 10th class and 92% in 12th class, was “martyred” in Tral.—KR
