Engineering education vital for national development: Governor

Lahore—Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana said on Tuesday that engineering sector had big potential to optimize the future of Pakistan and engineering education could be helpful for attaining the targets of development.
He was addressing the 23rd convocation of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore at main auditorium.
He said that talent of youth must be grabbed on modern grounds for the sake of career growth. He said the present government had started many projects to engage this really big asset of country in national building.
The Governor added that Pakistan was facing many complicated challenges which could be resolved through collective wisdom and long term decisions with the assistance of latest skills and comprehensive strategies.
While congratulating the graduates, he admired the role of UET in developing Pakistan from many decades by producing renowned professionals and expressed his role to maintaining the efforts for getting more progress.
The governor added that China Pakistan Economic Corridor was a big gift from China to the people of Pakistan, it would surely boost up the economy of the country and start new era of economic development.
He advised the graduates to learn more techniques to contribute through CPEC at large.—APP
