LAHORE : Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has warned that enemies of the country want confrontation between state institutions which would be dangerous.

Talking to media persons here on Thursday, the Speaker said conspirators will remain but conspiracies would be foiled by the people of Pakistan.

Replying to a question,  Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasised that no one has criticised the judiciary or the armed forces.

“It is our duty to respect the judiciary and the armed forces” he said.

He said the need of the hour is that each institution should remain within the scope of its jurisdiction.

To a question, the Speaker said that the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan  as  soon as the condition of his wife improves.

He made it clear that no member of the parliament can be arrested from the precincts of the Assembly without approval of the Speaker. However he said if an elected representative is arrested somewhere else,  then police is required to inform the Speaker.

He said democracy would be strengthened if we respect the elected representative of the people. He made it clear that as Speaker, he would remain neutral and pointed out that he did not accept the resignations of PTI MNAs for 40 days.
