Islamabad—Foundation University Medical College organized a seminar titled say no to corruption here on Thursday. Maj. Gen. Dr. Nasim ul Majeed HI(M) (Retd) was the chief guest while Director Foundation University Islamabad Campus, Maj. Gen. Dr. Akhtar Waheed HI(M) (Retd) was also present on the occasion.
The purpose of the event was to create awareness among the masses particularly students about this evil of the society. The event included speeches by the eminent experts and scholars, power point presentations, short videos, skits as well as posters and banners exhibition.
The speakers stressed that the elimination of corruption is imperative for attaining national progress and joint efforts are required to root out the evil of corruption from society. The experts underscored the need for a concerted effort in creating awareness against the menace of corruption.
The chief guest also inaugurated and visited the banners and posters exhibition. While congratulating the students who have participated in different activities of the event, he said that performance of the students is reflective of their hard work and devotion for which they genuinely deserve appreciation. He also admired the role of faculty in the success of such awareness activities. In the end, Maj. Gen. Dr. Nasim-ul-Majeed (Retd) distributed certificates among the participants of various activities.
