The Punjab government is implementing a number of policies to equip new generation with modern education and every person should play his role in the war against illiteracy. This was stated by Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha while addressing a seminar held in his office here Saturday in connection with the International Literacy Day.
He called upon the Education Department to focus their attention on promotion of education by maintaining good governance in their respective offices. The seminar was also addressed by Chief Executive Officers of District Education Authority, Faisalabad, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh, and others. DO Literacy Navidul Haq Butt said on the occasion that 360 centres of non-formal education were working in the Punjab.—APP
