Promotion of art & culture leads to presentation of real identity of a country among the comity of nations and educational institutions can play a pivotal role in dismissing the negative image of Pakistan while showing the world as a peace loving destiny.
This was stated by Provincial Minister for Information & Culture Fayaz-ul-Hassan Chohan while addressing the concluding ceremony of the 5th Unique Drama Festival at Alhamra Cultural Complex Wednesday here.
The winners in various categories including best drama in junior, high school and college level vis-à-vis best male and female actors in drama and singers in folk and ghazal categories were awarded cash prizes, shields and certificates.
Fayaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said that the future of Pakistan is bright and the PTI government would clean the country of corruption menace as the operation has started against the looters of the national wealth.
“We will definitely pull our beloved country out the mess created by successive regimes,” Fayaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said, adding that Pakistani youth are very talented and the govt will provide them the necessary platforms to showcase the same.
He said that the Pakistanis have proved themselves at global level and in the current age they are leaving their mark in every sphere of life. “In sports, art, culture, science, technology and business, Pakistanis have showed their talent and are in the leading positions all over the world,” he said.
Addressing the occasion, Minister for School Education Murad Raas said that uniform educational curriculum would help bridge gap between the haves and have nots. “The government is focusing on improving the educational standards in Pakistan so that the poor and marginalized segments of society could avail of the opportunity of quality education,” he said, adding that the best possible educational facilities would be ensured at the government schools.
Unique Group of Institutions Chairman Prof. Abdul Manan Khurram said that it was an encouraging sign that the government had prioritized the educational sector. “We will welcome any government step aimed at improving the standards of education in Pakistan. We will render allout efforts to support the government steps in this regard. He said that Unique Group of Institutions has been at the forefront of educational facilities in the provincial metropolis.
Ibrarul Haq, Orya Maqbool Jan, Iffat Rahim, Noor-ul-Hassan, MPAs Neelam Hayat, Talat Naqvi, Seemabiya Tahir, Asiya Amjad and Neelum were also present on this occasion.
