Education in Gwadar

The development of Gwadar under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project seem to be a major challenge for Pakistan to reach at a successful stage where the most essential projects are ignored completely even not listed yet. The mega city lacks proper educational system where a gazillion of students are disappointed to gain education. Through this letter I want to draw the attention of the Government of Balochistan to provide quality education in Gwadar, which is showing a very disappointing results. Certainly, a nation can never gain the brighter future if its education sector is lacked and ignored.
Gwadari students are deprived of lack of access to quality education, one factor is poverty. The government has promised to involve the local people of Gwadar in its development projects by providing jobs and other opportunities, however, there has still not been any step taken regarding this since the establishment of the seaport in 2004.
In fact, the most alarming issue is a lack of funds, as the government is not sincere about education in Gwadar. Some schools have been established but due to lack of good quality education, no change has occurred in this sector. The children – especially girls – are far away from education, as no technical institutions, medical colleges and other schools are established to provide education to the citizens. So, the federal government should take solid steps to provide better education system for the young generation of Gwadar in order to bring development in educational sectors, not only seaport.
