Abdul Sattar Edhi, a saviour, guardian, benefactor and caretaker of many people has passed away. He was a sincere humanist and a philanthropist on whom countless lives were dependent and it is no doubt, a big loss not just for Pakistan but for the entire humanity. He provided services in which the state had failed.
The Edhi Foundation operated the world’s largest privately funded ambulance service with orphanages, old age homes and hospitals that have been serving people without any discrimination of caste, creed, race or religion since years. We lost our mentor. This simple man was a legend. May Allah grant him an elevated position in Jannah.
