Economic well being depends on children’s training

Islamabad—Every society gives importance to the development of human resources because the economic well being of a society and national integration of a country depends upon the training and mental development of their children.
This was stated by Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, Chairman, National Council of Social Welfare while addrssing a seminar in connection with celebration of International Children Day, entitled “The Social Issues of Pakistani Child and their Solutions” which was organized by NCSW on Moday.
Representatives of Civil Society, NGOs, students and other stakeholders attended the seminar. In his presidential address, Dr. Nadeem said that Pakistani children are the future of the nation.
“Therefore, it is our duty to impart proper education and training to children so that they may become fruitful asset for the country,” he said. He pointed out that in our country some children are facing many social problems including child labour and poor economic conditions are important. Dr Nadeem, however, sad Pakistan was one of the few countries where legislation has been made for the welfare of the children and many institutions are working in this regards.
