Ebad takes a whirlwind visit of parks

Karachi—Governor Sindh Dr.Ishrat ul Ebad Khan Tuesday took a whirlwind visit of various parks and development projects of Karachi.
On the occasion he went to the people gathered there and enquired about their problems and directed concerned officers to resolve the same on urgent basis. The residents expressed their utmost joy on seeing Governor Sindh amongst them and informed him about the issues being confronted by them. Governor Sindh while expressing his dismay over presence of sewerage water at the service road outside the newly constructed park in North Nazimabad, directed DMC Central’s authorities to immediately remove the same and repair the faulty lines to ensure cleanliness.
He also inaugurated family parks at Gulistan e Jauhar block 15 and North Nazimabad block M and said that with the construction of these parks the locals have been provided with a refreshing and relaxing spot.
Governor Sindh also visited under construction Nazimabad underpass and directed to accelerate the pace of work. The debris excavated from the site should also be removed simultaneously so as to facilitate the commuters, he directed.
Dr.Ebad said the development process in closely linked with prevailing law and order situation and after restoration of law and order in Karachi, special focus is now being laid on speeding up the development activities in our megapolis.
Negligence and non provision of funds were the main causes of dilapidated state of parks, he observed.
During his visit to Aziz Bhatti Park, Governor Sindh opined that it was an important park of Karachi which need immediate and urgent restoration and revival.
A comprehensive plan has been chalked out in this regard under public private partnership which would improve the park.
Governor Sindh said that the lake in the park would be improved, train and cycle tracks would also be laid here.—APP
