Karachi—Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan was admitted on Friday to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Karachi following discomfort in his chest.
Ebad was brought to the emergency ward after reportedly suffering dehydration at first. The doctors conducted an angiography on the governor and concluded that he was stable.
The team of experts comprised Director NICVD Prof Dr Nadeem Qamar, Catheterisation Lab In-charge Dr Tahir Sagheer and administrator NICVD Dr Hameedullah Malik. The specialists, however, recommended Ebad’s stay in the hospital for at least until 10am Saturday for observation. The Sindh governor was subsequently shifted to a private ward at coronary care unit and was advised to take rest.
Meanwhile, Rangers DG Major General Bilal Akbar visited the NICVD to inquire after the governor’s health and prayed for his well-being.
Ebad was appointed 30th governor of Sindh on December 27, 2002.
