Hafizabad—District and Session Judge Hafizabad, Sajjad Ahmad Sheikh has said that establishment of first E-Court in Hafizabad will prove a important mileage-stone in early provision of justice and judges will not only decide cases at the earliest but precious time of lawyers and petitioners will also save.
He expressed these views while inaugurating newly established E-Court in District Courts Hafizabad Friday. Additional District and Session Judges Kaneez Faiza, Jahangir Ali Gondal, senior civil judge, Sajida Ahmad Chaudhry, civil judges Muhammad Waseem Anjum, Nadia Yaqoob, Shoukat Ali, President Bar Farooq Khokhar, General Secretary Bar Ray Waqar Ahmad and a large number of lawyers also partici-pated in the function.
He said that major cause of delaying in decision of cases in the courts was absence of witness for long and establishment of E-courts are need of the hour in present technological world for early settling of cases.
He said that now evidence of such people who are living in far flung areas of the country or living in abroad and cannot able to appear before the courts timely could be recorded via Skype/internet for early decision of cases. He said that provision of timely justice to people is our prime duty and to ensure provision of basic facilities in the courts is also our responsibility.
