However, light rain-thunderstorm is expected at few places in Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan during the said period. Mainly dry weather is also expected in most parts of the country, while hot and dry weather in Sindh and south Balochistan during the next 24 hours.
According to synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. Highest temperatures recorded Tuesday were Shaheed Benazirabad 46 C, Dadu 45.8 C, Mithi 44.5 øC, Hyderabad 44.2 C, Padidan 44.5øC, Jacobabad 42.5 øC, Moenjodaro 44.5 øC, Karachi 42øC, Faisalabad 36.5øC, Multan 38.1øC, Lahore 36.5øC, Peshawar 34.4øC, Islamabad 32øC, Kalat 26øC, Muzaffarabad 31.5.øC, Quetta 29øC, Gilgit 22øC, Murree 22øC, Dir 28øC and Skardu 13.6øC. Pollen count remained 778/m3.
The Karachi Meteorological office Tuesday forecast hot and dry weather for Karachi during the next 24 hours. A minimum temperature of 21 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius was recorded on Tuesday.—APP
