Karachi—Bodies of two young men, drowned in an open drain two days ago, were yet to be recovered by rescuers, engaged hectically since the last 48 hours. Residents said 18-yer old Shiraz fell into a tank and his cousin Wahab jumped in to water to save him. They are still missing, feared dead.
The father of the ill-fated soul, Qadir Bakhsh complained that the Karachi Water Board had refused to stop water from behind to help in the rescue work, saying the bodies will automatically surface after sometime. Qadir Bakhsh had threatened to stage sit-in near Toll Plaza should his appeal go unheeded.
