Drone hit kills three

Resuming its adventurism in the Pakistani Tribal belt, American predator planes in a afresh hit in the Kurram agency Thursday wee hours killed at least three people. Reports said a Taliban commander was among those killed in the drone attack that was carried out near Pak-Afghan border.
According to information reaching here the pilotless US planes targeted a compound at a remote village near Pak Afghan border in the restive Kurram agency at 4.30 in the morning destroying the structure as three people were reported killed while few others sustained injuries.
“The American planes fired two missiles on the house which was badly damaged structure killing the inmates the identity of whom could not be ascertained”. A terrified resident said adding the early morning attack by the drones sent a wave of harassment in the area.
Though there was no official confirmation about the fresh drone attack, some reports said a Taliban commander recognized as Rasheed was present in the compound at the time of missile hit and was killed on the spot.
The American planes or the drones that have been doing adventurism in the Pakistani tribal belt since 2004 but intensified the missile attacks in August 2008, have so far killed more than three thousand people in over 400 hits mostly in North and South Waziristan agencies. Out of those strikes, 33 were conducted in 2008 and 53 in 2009. However, the notorious drones struck 118 times in 2010 and more than two dozen attacks were launched in 2011.
