President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain awarded National Human Rights 2016 to the Patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hindu Council and Member National Assembly Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani as a recognition of his struggle services to protect the human rights.
According to the details, Ministry of Human Rights, in connection with the World Human Rights Day, has organized a ceremony on Saturday to acknowledge the services of prominent human right activists belonging to different walks of life. President Mamnoon Hussain was the Chief Guest of the ceremony.
Latter, talking to the media, Dr. Ramesh Vankwani lauded the contribution of Ministry of Human Rights. He said that every year on 10 December World Human Rights Day commemorates the day on which, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. He said that the day reminds us that as human-being we have civil, social, religious and political rights which are essential for any civilized society. “Protection of human rights is a key factor for the formation of peaceful society,” he said, adding that all those societies where social injustice and inequalities prevailed soon get vanished from existence.
