Front desks have been set up in all police stations to replace traditional ‘Muharar System’ where educated police officers have been posted for changing old-aged ‘Thana Culture’ and promoting people friendly policing system in the district. This was stated by the District Police Officer Hafizabad, Dr. Ghias Gull while talking to journalists here.
He said that computerized “Complaints Management System” has been introduced in the police stations for mitigating people’s problems about delay in lodging FIRs and eliminating corruption from the department.
He said that people can send their applications and complaints via E-Mail and SMS as well as written shape to concerned police station which would be reached to higher officer’s immediately thorough online system.
He said that first of all concerned beat-officers would be investigated applications and later FIR would go online after registration. All FIRs and further investigations would be monitored online by Inspector General of Police Punjab including DIGs and District and Circle Officers through “Complaints Management System”. With introducing this system not only performance of police would be improved but doors of corruption would also be shut as well as confidence of the people on the police would also be restored, he added.
