Doctors to observer strike against biometric attendance

Abbottabad—The doctors’ community has announced complete one-day strike of boycotting their duty today (Monday) in Ayub Teaching Hospital to protest for their demands including explanations issued to Medical Officers by the hospital administration for not making biometric attendance.
Except emergency cover, all out door departments, wards, laboratory, radiology department and operation theatres will remain closed during the day.
This was announced by Provincial Doctors Association (PDA) Ayub Medical Institute Abbottabad while issuing circular by its President Dr. Aminullah Afridi after held an emergency meeting of the Association. The circular which was also conveyed to hospital administration stated that OPDs and all elective services will not been provided on Monday except emergency cover. “In case the notification of Biometric system and explanation letters are not withdrawn on Monday.
