Doctors stage protest for service structure

Quetta—Under the auspices of Young Doctors Association (YDA), hundreds of doctors took out rally and staged protest to press their demands here on Friday.
The doctors took out rally from Sandeman Civil Hospital and culminated outside Quetta Press Club where they staged protest to press their demands.
Addressing the protestors, President YDA Balochistan, Dr Abdul Hafeez Kakar said that last day (Thursday), doctors took out the rally to stage demonstration outside Balochistan Assembly to press their demands.
He alleged that the police stopped the rally besides torturing them.
He said that doctors were pressing their demands which include increase in salaries of young doctors at per Khyber Pakhtunkhwa service structure, allocation of more seats for young doctors in government hospitals, accommodation for young doctors, recruitment of new doctors on permanent basis instead on ad-hoc basis and increase in scholarship for medical students of Bolan Medical College Quetta.—APP
