Doctors demand judicial probe in pal’s murder

Abbottabad—Provincial Doctors Association (PDA) chapter of Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad (ATH) has demanded judicial inquiry of murder of Dr Daud.
Addressing press conference at ATH on Saturday, PDA President Dr Aminullah Afridi along with its cabinet members have asked the provincial government to take im-mediate step for the security measures for the doctors community, otherwise they would have no option except to start agitation not only in ATH but also in entire province.
Flanked by PDA Secretary General Dr Zaheer Abbass & other cabinet members, PDA president placed four points demand from the provincial government, which in-cludes immediate arrest of the murderer of Dr Daud, TMO of Peads wards of ATH who was found killed in a hos-tel of Musharaf hospital/ hostel rented by the ATH management.
He further demanded a judicial inquiry of the sad incident which also covers the justification of doctors residences outside the hospital premises & security measures adopted for the doctors community. Dr Amin also demanded compensation for the family of the slain doctor and action against the hospital administration as well as Board of Governors (BoG) for their negligence.
PDA office bearers expressed dissatisfaction over the security measures adopted for the doctors residing in & out-side the hospital premises and said that none of the doctor is protected & feels totally insecure after the sad demise of the Dr Daud.
