Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab Afzaal Bhatti has said that by virtue of vibrant input of field officers at divisional and district level, complaints of Overseas Pakistanis can be addressed in days rather than months.
Presiding over a meeting to review the pending complaints of expatriate Pakistanis in Rawalpindi division, the OPC commissioner said that the role of district administration was very pivotal to resolve overseas Pakistanis problems as it directly deals with the line departments.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Azmat Mehmood, DC Talat Mehmood Gondal, CPO Israr Ahmad attended the meeting.
He said that instead of adopting traditional methods to resolve the issues of overseas Pakistanis, out of box strategy should be adopted and mechanism of complaint redressal be expedited.
Bhatti said that field officers should ensure at least two meetings of District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) in a month and proceedings regarding redress of complaints be uploaded on OPC Web Portal regularly.
Different complaints of Overseas Pakistanis also came under discussion and Commissioner OPC issued necessary instructions to resolve these issues.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Azmat Mehmood informed the participants of the meeting that complaints of Overseas Pakistanis were being settled on priority basis and implementation on the decisions of DOPCs was being ensured.
