Disabled provided jobs in special education, labour depts: DCO

Rawalpindi—District Coordination Officer (DCO) Talat Mehmood Gondal Monday said twenty one persons with disabilities have been recruited in special education and labour departments to provide them opportunity to earn their livelihood.
Chairing a meeting to review the process of recruiting people with disabilities, district officer Social Welfare Aslam Maitla told the meeting that a summary of 20 persons was sent to special education department of which 19 were recruited while two were recruited in the labour department.
The DCO said adequate facilities are being provided to the disabled by the Punjab government, adding more than 100 persons with disabilities including blind had already been recruited in various government and private departments, adding all recruitments had been made purely on merit.
