Justice Aamir Farooq of the IHC passed the directions after hearing the arguments placed by the litigants in plea moved by Tariq Asad in-person about genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Burma.
The petitioner had pleaded the court to direct the respondents to raise voice on all forums to stop this genocide and register protest at international fora.
He also argued before the bench for withdrawal Award for Democracy conferred on Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi. The bench after hearing the arguments disposed of the plea of the petition and directed the concerned ministries to decide the matter according to law of the land within ten days.
