DIG visits hospitals to inquire after health of cops

On special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Arif Nawaz, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Welfare Punjab Waseem Sial on Thursday visited Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) and Holy Family Hospital (HFH) to inquire about the health of the cops injured in Faizabad protesters attack.
City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, SP Rawal Division, Behram Khan and other officers were present on the occasion.
The CPO briefed the DIG about the medical facilities being provided to the police personnel admitted in the hospitals.
The DIG directed the authorities to arrange best possible medical care for the cops.
Speaking on the occasion, he encouraged the cops saying that they were asset of the police force and the department would provide all out support to those facing difficult time. He also distributed cash among the cops.—APP
