DIG advises cops to serve with passion, honesty

Zhob—Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Balochistan Police Rai Babar Saeed has said that the police uniform is a symbol of the state. Who accepted pressure and did no justice, is violating the norms of the force as well as sanctity of the uniform. Obligation of the force is to ensure citizens’ life and property. Stern action would be taken against those involved in criminal activities and drug peddling.
He was talking to notables and political leaders during his visit to Zhob at DPO office here.
District Police Officers Zhob, Muhammad Saleem DPO Sherani Abdul Ghafoor Marri, Chairman Municipal Committee Zhob Abdul Saleem, Mandokhail, District Chairman Sherani Sultan Sherani, SHO Shin Gul Mandokhail, Engineer Abdul Rehman Mandokhail, Councilor Nadir Shah Kakar, Sardar Azizullah Kibzai, Muhammad Anwar Mandokhail and Sardar Rehmat Akakhail were present on the occasion.
DIG said that in spite of the tough situation, the police personnel were performing their duties and rendering sacrifices of their lives to ensure the life and property of citizens. He said that besides police it was responsibility of all segments of society including local administration, civil society and media to maintain peace in the area.
“Dozens of police jawans and officers have laid their lives in the line of their duty. We should evolve a coordinated strategy for foiling nefarious designs of criminals and anti-state elements.” DIG said.
The provincial head of police called on the police force to render their services with passion, devotion and dedication and without discrimination.
“Police will make all possible efforts to maintain peace in the area. Crime is a complicated social phenomenon that cannot be explained from one perspective.” He maintained.
The criminal and anti-social elements would find the police really tough. The police are committed to ensure the policing strategies aiming at reducing the incidence of heinous offences. Corrupt and negligent officials would not be tolerated. Police head assured.
DIG Mr. Rai promised to cooperate with dedicated officers and provide them with requisite support needed to effectively perform their duties. He also stressed the importance of remaining vigilant to maintain law and order situation in an area that shares borders with a militancy-hit tribal agency.
