DG ESA inspects 1122 training

Rawalpindi—Director General (DG) Emergency Services Academy (ESA) Brig (R) Amir Hamza Monday conducted a monitoring visit at training venue to observe and ensure standard of Urban Search and Rescue (USR) training arranged in collaboration with Pakistan Army for master trainers team of Rescue 1122.
The under training Rescue 1122 master trainers team consisting of 20 members is being trained on specialized skills related to USR by the Pakistan Army Urban Search and Rescue Specialists, says a press release issued here.
Brig (R) Amir Hamza flanked by Major Adeel training coordinator visited practical area, where participants demonstrated skills including locating the victims, cutting the concrete structure with specialized equipment, confined space entry and rescue the victims from collapsed structure.
He emphasized to observe discipline, follow guidelines of trainers and utilize maximum time to get mastery on Urban Search and Rescue Skills and techniques as USR training would be integral part of Rescue training course so all master trainers should work hard to get command over the subject for further quality training of Divisional USR Units at Emergency Services Academy.—APP
