Islamabad—Development work at Sector C-15 has commenced on Friday and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has expedited development work with quality assurance. According to the CDA spokesperson, initially, during the Phase I of development, all major roads, service roads, drainage system, culverts and retaining walls around the sector C-15 will be constructed. The first phase would be completed at the cost of Rs382.0 million.
A meeting in this regard was held at CDA Headquarters here on Friday, chaired by Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal which reviewed the progress of development work being carried out at sector C-15. The meeting was also attended by the Member Administration Amer Ali Ahmed, Member Engineering and other senior officers of the Authority.
On this occasion, Director Sector Development apprised the Chairman CDA that after awarding contract for development work of sector C-15, development activities at the site have commenced. The meeting was briefed that during the first phase of the project, seven (07) major roads are being constructed in addition to the construction of service roads while drainage system of the sector would also be constructed during the first phase. Chairman CDA was apprised that culverts along the road and retaining wall around the sector would be also constructed during the first phase. Chairman CDA was further informed that first phase of the development of sector C-15 will be completed with in one year time.
Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal directed the concerned formations to ensure completion of development work with in given time frame. He further directed to carry out planning of next phase so after completing first phase, development work on the next phase of the project could be launched without any delay. He directed the Finance Wing to ensure availability of already allocated funds so that development work could be completed at fast pace. He said that while carrying out development activities, quality of work must be focused and provision of state-of-the-art facilities must be also ensured.
He said sector C-15 is unique sector of the city because of its natural surroundings, therefore, special arrangements be made to further enhance its natural beauty. He directed all formations of the authority for coordinated effort so after completion this sector could further add to the beauty of the city.
