‘Deutschland imKoffer’ exhibition held at RIS

Islamabad—Roots International Schools (RIS) arranged an exhibition with the theme ‘Deutschland imKoffer’ (Germany in a suitcase). The main idea of this exhibition was to engage the students taking German Language as a subject. The exhibition consists of two giant sized and very heavy suitcases. One reveals aspects of German language and the other one covered the German culture.
It was a learned experience for all the students as they could live in the ambiance created by the Goethe. Students also had an interactive session with the Head of Press and Cultural section- Dr Dan Tidten who appreciated the students on their skills to write and speak German language.
The Goethe-Institute and Roots International Schools go a long way as we are one of the pioneers in Pakistan to introduce German under the PASCH umbrella at your school. RGLD an initiative by Roots International schools aims to reduce language barrier by promoting the language of future and building a strong bond between Pakistan and Germany. RGLD is one of the active departments of roots.
The department aims to build up a network to awaken students’ interest and enthusiasm for German language and German society. It offers a unique frame of activities and programmes alongside German language courses. It gives a platform to students to excel and explore multiple opportunities.
Roots German Language Department aims to develop students with strong language skills and analytical abilities they need to polish in their higher education and future careers. Department is focused towards responding to the needs of students by providing an opportunity for quality education and tapping the potential excellence through cultural exposure and language diversities.
RGLD is working in close collaboration with Goethe and German embassy. We are working together hand in hand providing a global forum to our students, driving them on the way to excel in German language and culture. The department aims to inculcate in students a sense of respect and understanding between different cultures by teaching language and developing cross border competencies.
