The district police arrested several accused including Afghan nationals in various operations conducted against criminals here on Monday. According to police, Cantt police conducted a snap checking at Daraban Chungi and Fuwara chowk in which 10 Afghan nationals were intercepted and arrested for their failure to provide documents of their stay.
The police registered separate cases against them under foreign act and started investigation. Band Korai police arrested Samiullah Uthra for allegedly providing shelter to a proclaimed offender-Attaullah in Kach area. Separately, Nawab police registered a case against two brothers namely Mukhtiyar Pasran and Niaz Ali for being involved in aerial firing.
Meanwhile, as many as eight persons were injured in two different road accidents within limits of Karri Khaisor and Prova police stations. Nasir and his wife Amber Naeem along with their children including Amar Haider Naeem, Mahnoor and their nephew Murtaza were travelling in a car when it crashed with Suzuki pick-up van on road within limits of Karri Kaishor police station. As a result all members of the family sustained injuries were shifted to a hospital. In another accident, Amir Hamza Mehsood and their children Almina, Zubair.—APP
