Karachi—Deputy Mayor Karachi Dr. Arshad Vohra has directed to activate and organize city wardens for serving citizens especially for traffic control and to arrange training for them to meet any casualty or natural calamity in the city.
He said this while addressing meeting of the officers of Disaster Management, said a statement on Saturday.
Senior Director DMD Raza Abbas Rizvi, Director City Warden Raja Rustam, Director Contract & Coordination Syed Muhammad Shakaib, Team Leader Naeem Yousuf and other officers attended the meeting.
The Deputy Mayor said the citizens of Karachi have lot of expectations from us and we want to fulfill these expectations as soon as possible.
He said the fire brigade, urban rescue unit, security force, city wardens, 1122 ambulance service and other sections must be streamlined on modern lines.
All the staff of these sections must be on duty so that they could serve the citizens in a better and effective manner, he added.
