Death of Habibullah Parra condoled

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) led by Feroz Ahmad Khan and comprising Mohammad Akram Najar, Ghulam Hussain Rather and Ghulam Nabi Rather condoled the death of Habibullah Parra, the uncle of the party Chief Organiser, Abdul Ahad Parra.
Habibullah Parra was deliberately hit by Indian army vehicle when he along with his close relative, Abdul Majeed Sofi, was coming to home from Baramullah on motorbike.
They were taken to hospital where Habibullah Parra succumbed to his injuries while Abdul Majeed Sofi is in critical condition in the hospital.
The delegation offered fateha for the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. Feroz Ahmad Khan also denounced the arrest of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and her associate, Fehmida Sofi, demanding their immediate release.
APHC leader, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi also visited the residence of Habibullah Parra at Karalgund and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, the APHC leader and the Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja in her statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the arrest of Aasiya Andrabi and described it the worst kind of human rights violations.
She deplored that the top resistance leaders including Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Mohammad Yasin Malik and Shabbir Ahmad Shah were already under detention to prevent them from leading protest rallies which was nothing but frustration of the authorities.—KMS
