Death anniversary of Mahmud Ali observed

Islamabad—Death anniversary of (late) Mr. Mahmud Ali, veteran Pakistan Movement leader, was observed by National Council of Social Welfare here on Thursday.
Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, Chairman, National Council of Social Welfare chaired the Issal-e-Sawab ceremony. Representatives of Civil Society, NGOs, officials of different departments of CAD Division, and students attended the ceremony.
Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik in his presidential address said that Mr. Mahmud Ali promoted Pakistaniat and Unity. He tried his best to unite East and West Pakistan. He was writer of many books including on Quaid-i-Azam and Muslim Economics. Mr. Mahmud Ali was also the founder of the Tehreek-i-Tekmeel Pakistan and through this forum he would go on appealing to the people to support the dream of making the Pakistan Resolution a reality.
He gave message to Pakistani nation for adoption of the principal of self reliance as a road map for progress and prosperity of the nation. Nadeem Malik said he worked hard as Chairman of National Council of Social Welfare for the Welfare of the people of Pakistan through public private partnership.
“On his motivation thousands of Social Welfare community projects were completed all over the country,” he said. At the end Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik advised the participants to follow the message of late Mahmud Ali for unity of the people of Pakistan and a united nation can face every challenge and can achieve their objectives. Mahmud Ali was companion of Quaid-i- Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Assam Muslim League Secretary General, Tehreek-i-Takmeel-i-Pakistan Founding President, ex-chairman of National Council of Social Welfare and Federal Minister of Government of Pakistan.
