DDAC approves development projects

Dir Lower—A meeting of the District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) with Deputy Commissioner Irfanullah Wazir in the chair Friday approved eighteen uplift schemes of district ADP 2015-16 costing millions of rupees. The meeting was attended by the district heads of various departments including District Officer Agriculture Murad Khan, XEN C&W Samiullah Khan Kundi, District Planning Officer Shaukat Ali Khan and TMO Timergara.
The meeting approved the schemes worth Rs 9 million for increasing agriculture production, Rs 5.7 million for construction of protection walls around agri lands, Rs 6 million for provision of sewing machines for women, Rs 2.8 million for provision of wheel chairs to disabled persons, Rs 3.4 million for provision of gadgets for deaf and dumb children, Rs 2.5 million for promoting sports activities in the district, Rs 3 million for the welfare of youth, Rs 4 million for construction of two additional rooms in District Female Centre, Rs 1.7 million for welfare of minorities, Rs 8.8 million for construction of various inter district roads, Rs 8 million for two electric schemes and Rs 32 million for construction of twenty additional rooms in the schools.
Similarly, 64 schemes were also approved under CM Special Package for Development Initiative Project and District Development Initiative Program under which Rs 45 million would be spent on construction of electric schemes, roads and drinking water supply. The meeting accorded approval to 63 projects for PK-96 constituency costing Rs 45 million.—APP
