Islamabad—A galaxy of celebrities, intellectuals, businessmen, parliamentarians, ambassadors, particularly from Islamic world and media personalities graced the Iftar-dinner hosted by Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawala at a local hotel on Thursday.
Over six hundred guests drawn from all over Pakistan were in the hall with stars from performing world, having connections with Bollywood including actress Meera, singers Rahat Fateh Ali and Atif Aslam, producer/actor Javed Shiekh and Ali Saleem (Begum Nawazish Ali). They were the most sought-after in this beautiful setting where a large number of Pakistani ladies dressed up in colourful Sarees were also seated.
Though it was an annual feature of Indian High Commission but this time the list of guests was very large. Mehtab Abbasi (PML-N) and Naveed Qamar (PPP) were prominent among the politicians. The guests were treated with traditional Iftar dishes on the occasion.
