Day for disaster reduction

The International Day for Disaster Reduction is observed every year on 13 October worldwide to generate awareness about the affected families of dangerous disasters like earthquake, flood, firestorm and several more which ruin thousands of lives and make them homeless. This Day was declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 1989 to promote a global culture of risk-awareness about the prevention of disasters worldwide.
Painfully, the horrific disasters have killed millions of precious lives and made the people homeless and helpless globally. The protection of the humanity should be strong in order to save their lives from such disasters. But unfortunately, we could observe failure by the Disasters Management Authority in Pakistan, which has failed to reach immediately at the places where disasters occurred and left the poor families in the lurch. Every family needs to be protected and supported equally whether that is a poor family or a rich one.
So I humbly request the National Disaster Management Authority to stay alert for supporting every affected family and protect their lives by reaching the affected places immediately to help affected people and facilitate them when they would be helpless.
