DACW honours Pakistan women cricket team

Karachi—“The College period is like a bridge in a student’s life. I have been so fortunate to have studied in one of the best colleges in the city i.e. Defence Authority College for Women (DACW), said by the Silver Star of the College, Sana Mir who is a symbol of pride for the Nation as a Captain of Pakistan Women Cricket Team, on Thursday as an honorary guest in a programme conducted by Zeb Bangesh, a renowned vocalist and media coordinator organized by DA College for Women, which has been alma mater of Sana Mir. Sana Mir graced the event along-with her team members who eloquently spoke on the hardships and then the glory of achievement with a sense of pride.
Dr. Farhat Agha, Principal of DA College for Women welcomed the guests. In her welcome speech she greatly appreciated the achievements of the college students in both curricular and co-curricular activities. She said that DA College for Women provides all necessary tools to students in order to be successful in life. The College provides quality education and polishes the raw skills of students.
The programme comprised of a multimedia presentation regarding the hard work and dedication of the entire team members followed by a question / answer session.
Esteemed guests and DHA officials graced the occasion as guests with an intention to encourage the Cricket Team. Zeb Bangesh, in her melodious voice asked very interesting questions, in a capacity of an anchor and media coordinator of the team answered by the entire Team members pleasantly.
Sana Mir recalled her College life at DA College for Women.
According to her DA College always promoted love for learning and growth of positive self-esteem which made her a strong disciplined person who can meet all the challenges of life.
She expressed her love and association with the College and highlighted the statement that DA College for Women is a milestone to her career. Working in harmony, trusting each other is the slogan of DA College for Women. She felt very proud for being a part of this dynamic institution. This College, according to her, is not just a place to acquire degree and proceed but it is an institution which shapes up students’ personality to face bravely all kinds of challenges in a life to come.
At the end of the question / answer session, mementoes were presented to the entire Team members by the Director Education, DHA and the Principal Dr. Farhat Agha. The Captain of the Women Cricket Team, Sana Mir presented some souvenirs of their visit to DA College for Women to the Principal, Dr. Farhat Agha and signed bats to the representatives of Sports Teams of different DHA Schools. The event proved to be a mega success of the series of programmes titled as Meet and Greet Pakistan Women Cricket Team.
