Cycling C’ship from 26th

Lahore—Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) is organizing the 62nd edition of National Men Cycling Championship here from April 26 to 29.
All the affiliated units of PCF are taking part in this mega event, said Idris Haider Khawaja, President, Pakistan Cycling Federation on Wednesday.
“It is a regular activity of our cycling calendar which will help in further promoting cycling in the country”, he asserted.
President, PCF said six track and three road events will be conducted in the four day competition in which for the first time a track event, Keirin race is being introduced.
“The introduction of new event will make the championship competitive and will expose the riders to new experience which will polish their skills to become top cyclists in due course of time”, he added.
Following event will be contested, one KM Time Trial (One Cyclist Each Unit), 1000 Meters Sprint (Two Cyclist Each Unit), 200M Flying Time Trial, 4 KM Individual Persuit (One Cyclist Each Unit), Team Sprint (Three Cyclists Each Unit), 40 KM Individule Road Time Trail (Two Cyclists Each Unit),70 KM Team Road Time Trial (Six Cyclists Each Unit),100 KM Road Scratch Race (Six Cyclists Each Unit), 4 KM Team Pursuit (Four Cyclists Each Units),Team Sprint, Elimination Race and Keirin Race.
He said PCF was striving hard for the cause of cycling in the country and is organizing regular cycling events for men and women to broaden the base of the game besides creating equal opportunity for male and female riders to show case their talent.—APP
