CTP launches drive against pressure horns

Rawalpindi—City Traffic Police (CTP) Friday launched a special drive against pressure horns and improper vehicle number plates. According to City Police Officer (CTO) Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Dr Sardar Ghias Gul, special drive has been launched in all tehsils of the district and strict action in accordance with the law will be taken against the violators. Vehicles will be impounded while challan tickets will also be issued for not removing pressure horns and improper number plates, he added.
The CTO said special checking in this regard would continue. The traffic rules are meant for the safety of the drivers and the passengers, he added. He said, traffic rules must be observed on roads as these are for the safety of the drivers and other road users as well.
The CTO informed that special campaigns were launched in the past by the traffic police to educate road users especially motorists about observance of traffic rules.—APP
