CTP educates school vans drivers about parking rules

Rawalpindi—City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi educated drivers of school vans about traffic laws particularly parking rules.
CTP on the special directive of Regional Police Officer, Rawalpindi Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja and City Police Officer, Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, launched a traffic awareness campaign outside public and private schools to educate the drivers of pick and drop vans. The drivers were briefed about traffic particularly parking rules.
According to Acting Chief Traffic Officer (ACTO) Rawalpindi, Yousaf Ali Shahid, the Education Wing of CTP briefed the drivers about traffic rules, road safety and advantages of single parking and disadvantages of double parking.
He said, the drivers of school vans under the campaign, would be given tips about lane/line discipline, traffic rules and road safety and the advantages of keeping to the correct lanes.
The drivers should follow traffic rules, he said adding, the campaign has been started to acquaint the drivers with traffic laws while inculcating better traffic sense among them.—APP
