Crackdown against business centres of University Town

Peshawar—In light of the orders of Peshawar High Court (PHC) district administration has decided launching of operation against business centres in the residential areas of the University Town.
In this connection, a meeting was held here with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Riaz Khan Mehsud in the chair. Those who attended included Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shahid Mahmood, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Altaf Sheikh, Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs), Abdul Nabi, Syed Shah Zeb, Imran Khan, Javed Anwar Kamal, Sohail Aziz and Fazilat Jehan, Nazim Town-III, Mohammad Ali Arbab, DSP Town Saifullah Khan, TMO Town-III, Mian Anis-ur-Rehman and representatives of SNGPL, PTCL and other departments.
During the meeting the Deputy Commissioner was told in detail regarding business activities and their centres in residential areas of University Town. He was that all business centres have already been issued notices.
After detailed deliberations the meeting decided the initiating of crackdown against business centres established in the residential areas of University Town from November 24, 2016. For this purpose, the district administration has already constituted three teams, which will initiate operation against guest houses, different shops, hospitals, public sector, private sector offices, different NGOs, schools and others, which will continue till the shifting of all these business centres from residential areas.
The Deputy Commissioner has requested the parents for not sending their children to schools situated in University Town as the administration is going to seal all those schools, which are operating in residential areas.
He said that the order of the high court will be implemented in any circumstances and all business centres in residential areas of the University Town will be abolished.—APP
