Director General Frontier Works Organization (FWO) Lt Gen Muhammed Afzal has said completion of major road communication network in Balochistan on the western alignment of CPEC project, is a milestone in the national history.
In an exclusive interview with this scribe after inauguration of 448 kms Hoshab-Sorab highway by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said that national task assigned to FWO has been successfully achieved within the stipulated time.
He said Prime Minister was all the praise for the workers of FWO, who had lost their lives, while constructing roads communication under CPEC between Khunjerab and Gwadar.
He said that road network under the CPEC project will open new venues for Pakistan particularly Balochistan, as it would link the country with neighboring and the Gulf states.
Lt Gen Mohammad Afzal said FWO with its professional excellence and movement towards new peaks of engineering competence in nation building projects, is tremendously contributing towards a prosperous and progressive Pakistan.
He said the roads infrastructure would prove to be significant in building our future. Connecting Pakistan with China from Kashgar to Gwadar deep seaport by highways, railways and pipelines would ultimately boost economic activity in the region, he added.
