CPEC is project of Pakistan’s progress, prosperity: Ebad

Karachi—The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the project of Pakistan’s progress and prosperity and that it would be completed at every cost.
This was stated by the Governor of Sindh, Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan.
He was talking to the new Consul General of the Peoples Republic of China, Wang Yu, who called on him at the Governor House here on Wednesday.
This, the Governor added, would result in setting up of the new industries as well as the creation of more employment opportunities in the country.
Dr Ishrat ul Ebad further stated that every Pakistani desires that the CPEC be completed on time.
He was of the view that there are certain foreign elements that are hatching conspiracies against this vital project but they would not be allowed to succeed in their nefarious designs.
The Governor pointed out that a special security unit has been formed for the protection of the Chinese and other associated with the CPEC projects.
He stated that directives have also been issued to the police and the local administration for foolproof security arrangements in this regard.
Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said that China is very close and dependable friend of Pakistan and that the friendship of the two countries is taller than Himalayas and deeper than ocean. The CPEC would further cement these ties.
Wang Yu said on the occasion that China attaches special attention to its ties with Pakistan. He said that because of CPEC more Chinese companies are coming to Pakistan. With the completion of CPEC the business activities would increase further.
