Court reserves verdict to declare Musharraf an ‘absconder’

Islamabad—A local court in Islamabad on Saturday reserved its decision on a plea to declared former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf an ‘absconder’ in Ghazi Abdul Rashid murder case.
Additional Session Judge Pervez-ul-Qadir Memon heard the plea. During the case hearing, Musharraf’s guarantors Nazeer Ahmed and Jan Muhammad appeared in the court and submitted their replies on show-cause notices.
Police also submitted a report regarding Musharraf’s arrest warrant, stating that teams went to Islamabad farm house and Karachi residence of the accused but couldn’t find him there.—SABAH
