Court Indicts Rizwan and his wife in Haleema murder case

Karachi—After considerable time, progress seems to have been made in the murder of Haleema as a court in Karachi Saturday indicted prime suspect Rizwan Ayaz Khan and his wife Sonia in murder case of Haleema, mother of lost Edhi Centre boy, Abdullah.
The accused have pleaded not guilty of the crime.
The body Haleema was found from an apartment in Delhi Colony on June 01.
Police located 25-year-old Haleema’s body from an apartment which was discovered to have been handed over to her through Rizwan – a real estate agent. Suspect Rizwan was arrested by police from Super Highway.
Rizwan had earlier dropped Abdullah at the Edhi Centre claiming that he had found him deserted by his family at Sea View.
Later, after Rizwan went missing and a body thought to be of Abdullah’s mother Haleema was found from an apartment from Delhi Colony police began to consider him as the prime suspect.
A case against Rizwan and his wife Sonia was registered at the Frere Police Station.
The police had identified the suspect from the Edhi Centre’s CCTV camera footage. A day later police officials arrested Rizwan’s wife Sonia from their house located in Mehmoodabad.
