Corruption not to be tolerated in judiciary: CJ LHC

Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Mansoor Ali Shah Monday said that corruption would not be tolerated in judiciary at any level and the judges should ensure delivery of justice at all costs.
Addressing judges and district courts personnel here he said, being a judge is a great blessing and keeping in view this blessing ‘we must ensure delivery of justice without any favoritism’. Justice could only be delivered when there would be no corrupt element in judiciary at any level. District and Sessions Judge Attock Sohail Nasir, judges, Divisional Forest Officer Kamran Kazmi and employees of the courts were present on the occasion. The Chief Justice said maximum facilities will be provided to the judges and staff, but at the same time corruption would not be tolerated at any level. He said that courts in Attock have made history by disposing of record number of cases and the credit goes to the District and Sessions Judge Sohail Nasir.
Justice Mansoor said judiciary is playing its due role and emphasized on journalists to highlight judiciary’s performance for knowledge of the public. He said, district court personnel would be provided more facilities and they should perform their duties with more responsibility and honesty. The Chief Justice said that case of up-gradation of drivers and Daftarees would be taken up at the appropriate level. ‘Musaliha’ Centres are being established to facilitate the people, he said adding, the role of bar, police and prosecution is important in disposing of record number of cases in Attock.
