Corruption is menace for developing countries: Qamar

Islamabad—Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB called on Liu Zhen Min, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, China during his official visit to China. The meeting held in a very cordial atmosphere in which matters of mutual interest including Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Pakistan and China was discussed, says a massage received here from Beijing.
Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB said that corruption is a menace for all developing countries especially Asian countries striving for growth and to maintain economic stability. Last two decade witness a global realization about harmful effects of corruption on economy.
He said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relationship with China. Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is significant in increasing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The cooperation between the two countries in anti-corruption work will be further enhanced to eradicate corruption.
Liu Zhen Min, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, China reciprocated very warmly to the welcoming words and talked about strategic partnership between the two countries and the need for future cooperation in the field of Anti-Corruption work. He said that Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two countries for collaboration in Anti-Corruption work is an important development. He emphasized the Anti-Corruption work being done in china wherein the fight against corruption includes actions against flies and tigers both. He appreciated NAB’s efforts under the leadership of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB to eradicate corruption. He conveyed his strong Regards for Pakistan leadership.
